Fall isn’t rushing in on us like it usually does. We are getting a little bit of rain while temperatures have been consistent for almost an entire month. Lows in the mid to high 40s (F) and highs in the mid 50s.The change started early, but since then, it’s been lingering. Fall usually lasts a month. It’s already been longer than that.  Too many leaves are fighting for their lives! Lots of green still on the trees, so it’ll be a while before I fire up the blower to clean my parking pad and my driveway. My yard is two acres, so I blow everything into my own yard. Why is it critical to clean the leaves out of the driveway? Because they freeze in the winter and do a number on my snowblower when they get cycled through the impeller. |

| What’s Next? |
| I have another short story in an anthology coming out this month. The Expanding Universe 8 coming on Sep 19: this is an anthology that I publish annually. It might be a little thinner this year, but the quality of the stories within is exceptional. I count my own, For the World Is Hollow… among those. It’s been a premise that I’ve mulled over for a long time. There’s a lot of old-time Sci-Fi that explores the question of what it’s like when people don’t know they aren’t in the greater universe, but a bubble? This title will be in Kindle Unlimited .  Battleship Leviathan 5 – Leviathan Rises! is edited and in the can. It publishes promptly on Sep 27. My insider team finally had a chance to read the completed story.
