| What’s Next? |
I have another short story in an anthology coming out this month. The Expanding Universe 8 coming on Sep 19 – this is an anthology that I publish annually. It might be a little thinner this year, but the quality of the stories within is exceptional. I count my own, For the World Is Hollow… among those. It’s been a premise that I’ve mulled over for a long time. There’s a lot of old-time Sci-Fi that explores the question of what it’s like when people don’t know they aren’t in the greater universe, but a bubble? This title will be in Kindle Unlimited. Battleship Leviathan 5 – Leviathan Rises! is edited and in the can. It publishes promptly on Sep 27. My insider team finally had a chance to read the completed story. Fall is fully upon us. This means the beginning of the sleep season. Stanley is getting four good walks a day as opposed to five, although we’re staying out for the same length of time. And then massive snoozing. His fur is getting thicker, too, thank goodness. Now is the time to prep. We’ll double-check our stocks to make sure we have six months of everything on hand. I need to refill all my gas cans and get a little kerosene, too, all for backup. Pellets for the pellet stove. We only have half a ton on hand. Need more. I already stocked dog food, so Stanley is good, and coffee.It’s part of the ritual we have up here. One never knows when we’re going to get snowed in for an extended period and cut off from the rest of humanity. We’ll be ready as we always have. Until next week. Peace, fellow humans. |
