I’m bringing my old man up to Alaska for his 83rd birthday. All he wants to do is fish. He arrives on June 8th. June 9th, we’ll start the drive from Fairbanks. See how far we can make it that day. Stay overnight and then finish the short trip to the Kenai.
Alaska friends. We’ll be staying in Homer from the 10th through the 14th. We have reservations with North Country Charter for the 11th and 12th for one day of halibut fishing and one day of salmon fishing. On the 10th and 13th, my dad wants to get some Kenai River fishing in. Any suggestions? We’ll whip down to Soldotna. I think we know some people down there (Brian). What would folks recommend to make sure that Dad gets someplace he can cast and catch a few fish.
He also asked, what do people use in June? Spinner bait, spinners, jigs, what? I need the info 🙂
